This instalment of the AFL WAG drama belongs to Olympia Valance (pictured, left, with Madeleine West) who, as ex-footy wife Tahlia, faces the indignity of a leaked nude selfie. The former Neighbours actress has grown with this role of an enterprising young woman finding her feet and here she delivers a strong performance that speaks to a generation grappling with issues of privacy, consent and shame. Meanwhile, the boys fight for her honour in the locker room.

The host and the comedian compare their 20s at the Fitzroy sharehouse where the latter lost her virginity to an identified drummer and it’s evident which would have been the most fun to hang around. With her signature self-deprecating flourish, Lucy gives a tour of some of the hallowed ground of the 1990s Melbourne comedy scene. The jocular veneer is stripped back, though, when she visits her home town of Perth.

Sophisticated, sassy, and often laugh-out-loud funny, this anthology series based on the New York Times column of the same name is completely charming. Like Sex and the City, this is a fantasy version of New York and the situations depicted aren’t exactly relatable – but who cares? Lovely writing and styling provide a terrific showcase for a diverse ensemble of actors in a series of what are essentially two-handers. In episode one, that’s the delightful Cristin Milioti in an unlikely pairing with Laurentiu Possa. MH
