KNIVES OUT

Director Rian Johnson’s modern take on the murder mystery genre, Knives Out opens in cinemas on Thursday. Following his 85th birthday celebrations at his lush estate, the renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead. The debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is enlisted to investigate. He sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies involving both the dysfunctional family and his devoted staff to uncover the truth behind Harlan’s untimely death. We have 20 in-season doubles to catch a screening of the film, described as a tribute to mystery mastermind Agatha Christie. Emails received at mr.spiggott@bigpond.com before midnight tonight will enter the draw.

The stellar cast of Knives Out includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plumber and Toni Collette.
